Art comes in many forms! From paintings on the walls, to music, to what you are wearing right now.
At our “Wearable Art” program, we delve into the latter of these art forms. Either by painting, embroidering or tie-dyeing, you can create a unique, one-of-a-kind piece of clothing. This seemingly simple practice is extremely calming, and also a ton of fun!
Wearable art is also a great way to express yourself; using your favourite colours and designing something to make it uniquely yours. Everyone who attended our first group last week loved what they created, and found it to be a very relaxing activity.
Come out to our “Walking Across Canada/Art in the Park” event on August 24th at the Nokiidaa Trail in Newmarket to view some of the creative ways that we created “Wearable” art, as we will have the pieces on display in our Art show!
